Parent/Carer Partnership Evenings for Years 7 - 11
We warmly invite you to attend one of our Parent/Carer Partnership Evenings taking place on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 September. We believe a strong partnership between school and home is the key to student success, and these evenings are designed to give you the tools and insights needed to support your child’s progress.
Each evening will start at 5.30pm and end at 7.00pm. The evening will start with an introduction from Mrs Sally Ambrose, Headteacher, and our Deputy Headteachers, in the Desborough Hall. Parents can then opt to attend three 20-minute breakout sessions. These include:
- Social media, phones and general teen safety
- Understanding the importance of attendance
- Who’s in charge? Healthy boundaries to support your child at home
- Scholarship: nurturing a love for learning, and an intellectual curiosity
- Reading: support reluctant readers
- Understanding online extremism: what is incel culture, and what do I look for?
- How we use AI in education and how you can use it to support learning at home.
- Teen mental health 101
- Supporting GCSE learning at home
- Bromcom & using the MCAS App
- The Year 7 journey: A welcome to secondary school
For our planning, please could you complete the google form linked below by the end of the day on Friday 12 September. Please indicate if you are able to attend, and identify three sessions you
would be most interested in attending.

A massive well done to our new Year 7s! 🎉 You've made it through your first week with us, and we couldn't be more impressed with your independence and maturity. We've loved seeing your brilliant minds at work, watching you master those timetables, and finding your way around your much bigger new school. It's been fantastic to see so many new friendships already blooming.
A huge thank you also to all the parents for your support. It's been a great start to the new term!
