Audience Reviews

"Tonight had the joy of watching The Government Inspector at Dembe Theatre, flawless & hilarious, well done everyone involved, cast, crew and Tring School." | ![]()

Crew - I loved the set and your set changes were so slick! It's the first production I've seen at Tring School and it was a true joy. You smashed it!"
"That was genuinely an absolutely brilliant piece of theatre. What a show you've made. You don't realise just how talented you all are. This genre of play is one of the hardest to pull off and you utterly did that and more! The standard of performance you all bring on stage as an ensemble is like nothing I've seen from performers your age." | ![]() |

Feedback from Cast and Crew
"I absolutely loved the experience from the auditioning all the way to the final performances.
Getting to work with so many talented people was just incredible and I loved every minute of it. The whole rehearsal experience was unlike any other I’ve ever done it was so well structured and what came out of the rehearsals and onto the stage in the end was phenomenal. One of my favourite moments during this whole process will have to be the opening show and being able to share this amazing story to the audience for the first time. There was also something so special about being able to perform with so many people who all worked so hard throughout the entire process from start to finish. I’d just like to thank all the teachers involved in making the show what it was and creating such an amazing show which I am safe to say I loved being apart of."
"The whole experience was great, I don't regret it at all - although it was very unfortunate that the snoods, headbands and tentacles weren't used, but that's besides the point.
Honestly, if there was the opportunity to do it again right now, I'd gladly do so, I loved meeting and interacting with new people from different years and getting closer to those I already knew. Working with Ben and Peter was also great, I especially loved stealing tape and sharpies from them. Probably an unpopular opinion: but I loved the clean-up process too. Although Saturday night was very stressful, it was something I'd never experienced after any other shows I'd done and something I would love to help out with again. Not only clearing up the theatre, but also helping out in the drama lesson after, with everyone helping out - even if they hadn't been in or seen the show. Overall it was an amazing experience and it really treated students like the age we are, with other companies we've had chaperones following us like sheep and are rarely allowed to do mics or anything without an adult, but there was a lot more freedom with school. That's all, I can't wait for next year's production. (Sorry this is a bit long)."
"I was happy to get a part. The best bit was the performance because of seeing how everything we worked towards for came together. I learnt that how everything you do can impact how small the stage is . Thank you for a great experience."
"It was amazing!! Just the cast and crowds of support. Being in the theatre was lovely. Thank you so much to the teachers!"
"I really enjoyed being part of the Little Shop of Horrors. It was a great first acting experience and allowed me to make so many new friends. The show was funny and was also so fun to be a part of. The older students were also so kind and supportive and helped me a lot. I loved it so much and will definitely do it next year!"
"I have loved being a part of the cast of Little shop of Horrors this year. The rehearsals and shows have been such a brilliant experience and opportunity. Being able to work with the amazing and enthusiastic teachers to create the show was very rewarding. I have loved getting to know new people and the time and effort everyone put in made it the great show it was!! I can’t wait to do it again next year."
"I really enjoyed taking part in the show. I enjoyed meeting new people and performing with my friends. I enjoyed the build-up to the show, the rehearsals at the court theatre and the shows were definitely my favourite part."
"I loved the experience, it made me feel so awake even though I was so tired. It made me proud to be a part of the play. My favourite part was when we were the plant, especially the 3 ‘Feed me!’ moments, it always made the audience laugh."
"I felt that this was a brilliant school play and the older children helped me a lot and were kind and inviting. I hope KS3 can be included in more school musicals/plays."
"I loved the experience, I would definitely do it again. I made so many new friends in different years and got to know so many more people."
"I absolutely loved every moment of being backstage, setting up props, and socialising before and after the play with a completely different set of people. My favourite part, is always when Mushnik was at the dentist with Motorcycle Dentist who was wearing the gas mask, and he got high, and laughed around, whilst both we singing. I very much loved the performance, and will take any chance to do crew in a school production again. :)"
"I really enjoyed it, and I knew it was going to be fun, but it was even better than I thought it was going to be. Everyone was really nice as well, and looked out for each other. I liked learning all the different parts, and movement!"
"It was amazing I really loved being part of the play, even more than last year. Probably because there was a) more for crew to do on the show nights b) I could watch from the sidelines c) I could sing from the sidelines (I love that it was a musical it was great fun!) d) the plant/set was so cool and it looked so good at the theatre rather than just in Desborough. Also I already knew and loved the film, I think its great when the audience already knows the film/play. If if could do it again I'd be part of the cast! Thank you so much to all the teachers and everyone that put it together!"
"I absolutely loved show week! It will become a very fond memory especially with the circumstances leading up to it and being able to complete the show and have as good an outcome as possible. The support of the whole cast and teachers was incredible throughout and I would be taught routines and everything I needed efficiently without judgement. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely do a musical with school again if I wasn't going to college."
"This was my first play in school and I had the most amazing experience and I was sad when it ended. I enjoyed the whole play and the cast and crew were so lovely. My favourite scene in the Little Shop of Horrors was the dentist by far. This experience has made me love theatre even more than before and I can't wait for next year's play which I will definitely be taking part in."
"I had a blast throughout the entire process! I felt creatively trusted to explore character and make decisions both on and off the stage, but well within guidelines of superb directing and choreography, meaning I never felt lost. I enjoyed working with such a big and great cast, production team, and brilliant band!"
