Tring School Honours
The goal of any rewards system is to improve student behaviour, engagement and progress. Through our rewards system we want to celebrate, promote, incentivise and acknowledge our students’ positive participation in all aspects of school life. It is vital we actively recognise our students’ many achievements, successes and progress, and that our rewards system is meaningful, manageable and motivating for all involved.
We wholeheartedly believe in positive attention first; at Tring School we like to catch students doing things right. We don’t judge students by their previous behaviour; every day is a new day. As such we give rewards such as Go4 School Points, verbal praise and encouragement wherever possible.
At the heart of our rewards system is the Tring School Loyalty Card and the Tring School Honours System.
Tring School Rewards: The Tring School Loyalty Card
Students will collect Go4Schools points throughout the year. These points have been simplified and aligned to our Christian values and the key behaviours we want to reward.
To keep students motivated when collecting positive points, all learners will have access to a virtual ‘Loyalty card’ where they can claim prizes, rewards or perks once they meet a certain point threshold. This is so students can get smaller rewards more regularly and can see the system working in the short term. Students can collect these prizes, when they meet the thresholds on the Assembly & Celebration Day for their House.
Tring School Honours System
Throughout the year Tring students will work towards the Tring School Honours. The purpose of this programme is to encourage intrinsic reward and self-motivation. These are accolades awarded at the end of each Academic Year at the Pride of Tring event. Students will receive Honours for Wisdom, Hope and Community. These will be awarded to students who have excelled in the areas of Wisdom, Hope and Community throughout the school year, and key stage.
