Lifeskills

Lifeskills is a planned programme of learning opportunities and experiences that help young people grow and develop as individuals and as members of families and communities.  It equips them with knowledge and practical skills to live healthy, safe, fulfilled and responsible lives.

Lifeskills also enables young people to reflect on and clarify their own values and attitudes, and explore the complex and sometimes conflicting range of values and attitudes they encounter now and in the future.

A number of subjects fall under the umbrella of Lifeskills; PSHE education, Careers Education Guidance and Work Related Learning.

Our patron is The Dalai Lama and our members take action to increase wellbeing in their homes, workplaces, schools and local communities. Our vision is a happier world, with fewer people suffering with mental health problems and more people feeling good, functioning well and helping others.

Our vision is a world where children and families are supported effectively to build on their strengths and to achieve their goals in life. We will continue to promote resilience and wellbeing in children, young people and families, as we have for over 60 years.
