Health & Social Care BTEC

Health and Social Care is an exciting, career focused subject which prepares you for a variety of future pathways in this area. It’s a career path which is in high demand. 

In Health and Social Care, you will learn essential skills to flourish in the fast paced and rewarding world of several career paths including nursing, midwifery and early years teaching.  You will learn the essential theory behind how to provide care, as well as having opportunities to put those skills into practice.  Health and Social Care is an accessible subject but does delve into Biology, Psychology and Sociology, meaning the level of challenge is high. 

Minimum GCSE Grade Requirements
Grade 4 in English Language or Literature and Grade 4 in Maths.

Course Content

At the moment the course content is not known for definite as the government hasn’t confirmed what BTEC style will go ahead, but the qualification style will be a 50/50 mixture of controlled assessment and examination.
