Year 11 Leavers’ Prom

Tuesday 1st July saw our first organised Year 11 Leavers’ Prom for over twenty years and 203 students were transformed into elegant young adults as we said ‘farewell’ at Shendish Manor. Students voted overwhelmingly for staff to be involved with the event and to oversee its organisation. The weather and venue were brilliant and our students arrived in limousines, vintage cars, a tow truck with sirens and even an ice cream van!

During the event we had an Oscar Ceremony with staff nominating the students for various categories including ‘most likely to become a WAG’ & ‘most likely to become a millionaire’. There were some very clear favourites; just goes to show how well we know our students. The photo booth was a fabulous addition to the night and was popular from start to finish with the staff having the last few turns at 11.00 pm.

It was a tremendous evening and all the students behaved impeccably; we were very proud of them and received excellent feedback from the duty Manager at the hotel. Thanks to all the staff who attended and supervised on the night especially Miss Stefan who worked tirelessly to ensure this event was a great success. Take a look at some stunning photographs!
