Tring School is popular and over-subscribed, serving the town of Tring and the surrounding villages. It is a mixed Church of England all-ability school, 1500 on roll, over 300 Post-16. Teacher of English/Media

Contract: Part time (minimum 0.5 FTE), Permanent

Our English team are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational teacher of English who will share our commitment to raising standards, expectations and instilling a passion for learning for all. You will be joining a well resourced, creative, hard-working and ambitious department as we strive towards outstanding in all areas of our practice, which now includes Media and Film Studies. We are seeking a part time teacher to strengthen our provision in English and there is scope to teach in Media for a suitable applicant. We take pride that English and Media are very popular subjects across all key stages and students enjoy being taught in this vibrant department.

The post is equally suitable for an NQT as well as experienced teachers and offers an excellent opportunity to receive support through our comprehensive NQT and CPD programme which will be delivered in conjunction with our Dacorum partners.

  • be a proven outstanding practitioner
  • show innovation and determination to ensure all our students receive a first class education
  • make significant contributions to both the department and whole school vision
