Design & Technology

In Design and Technology students study in a wide range of material areas, starting in Years 7 and 8 where we operate a carousel system through CAD/CAM, Electronics, Food, Graphics, Resistant Materials and Textiles.  In year 9 we offer our students a choice of what they study for the year.

They are asked to choose to work in 2 material areas from the following: Electronics, Food, Graphics, Resistant Materials, Textiles and Work Skills.  We offer GCSE subjects to Key Stage 4 students in Design and Technology (encompassing Electronics, Graphics, Resistant Materials and Textiles) as well as Food Preparation and Nutrition.  We also offer the BTEC subject of Construction and the Built Environment.  At A level we offer Product Design and Textiles courses.

Please browse the subject specialisms to find out more about our courses.
