Our Year 7 students had a busy Enrichment fortnight and their Business Skills Day was designed to get them thinking about future careers and learning new skills.
The day is organised so that students work in teams of 15 and meet four different types of businesses. It’s not just about listening either! Our speakers get them working on presentations, business plans, creating displays, role playing and planning events and celebrations. A huge cross- section of businesses help us with the day and make it really successful for everyone, representing a real spectrum of jobs and careers locally and nationally.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the business and organisations who helped us this year, as well as parents and Governors who volunteer their time and energy to share their skills and experience.
We are always keen to welcome new speakers and if you would like to get involved in 2015, please get in touch to find out more.
