The school Careers Service is located in our Connexions Centre. Outside the centre are displays on World Challenge, Duke of Edinburgh, the school Eco Club and our Enterprise and Careers Days. All the team are involved in running extra curricular activities for students.
Our Careers Education Programme is updated each year and aims to offer students a stable career programme which includes Work Experience and additional support in Years 9 and 11 when students have to make decisions about which qualifications and pathway they will take next.
Resources on Moodle
We have some fun, interactive careers packages on Moodle which allow students to explore different jobs and careers. Parents can enjoy them too!
Job Explorer Database (JED) is suitable for Key Stage 3 and has searches, quizzes and pictures and text to help you find out about hundreds of jobs.
KUDOS is aimed at Key Stage 4 students and aims to encourage, excite and inspire young people to start exploring their future options. It helps them to plan for their future by getting them to think about possible career directions.
There are other packages on Moodle to explore and useful websites for you to browse.
