Human Resources Manager

Full Time 37 hours per week – term time plus 3 weeks

H6 £21,057 – £23,166 pro rata (actual £18,861 – £20,750)

The school requires an enthusiastic, capable and confident person to provide a high quality administrative service and manage HR systems and processes. Previous HR experience is desirable but not essential, as is a CIPD qualification.

The successful applicant will take ownership of HR compliance within school, which will include all safer recruitment requirements and training.

Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills are paramount while experience of maintaining an HR database and/or HR in an education environment would be highly beneficial. You will be a strong team player, capable of multi-tasking and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

The school is currently considering establishing a Multi Academy Trust.  Should this happen the role of the HR Manager is likely to grow to include working with primary schools.

You will be expected to buy-in to our ethos and become part of the school community.

You will be a first class musician with an ability to teach Music from KS3-5 and be dedicated to the promotion of musical life in the school. A commitment to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school is a pre-requisite for this role.

This is a thriving and well equipped department, with several visiting instrumental teachers and excellent technical support.  Visits to the school and the department are encouraged.  This position will suit an experienced or NQT colleague.

The ideal candidate must have a specialism in Food Technology.

Our very good department offers Design and Technology to all students in Key Stage 3, after which time students may opt for a GCSE in any one, two of the six courses offered.  We also run A levels in D&T Product Design and Fashion & Textiles.

We require an inspirational teacher to join our highly successful and supportive Geography department. There are currently two year 12 and two A2 classes and a large cohort at KS4 with four year 11 and five year 10 classes, as Geography is the most popular option subject at GCSE.

We are a well organised and resourced department, with 4 large classrooms, and excellent IT provision across the school, moving towards all students having 1:1 chromebooks and widespread use of Google apps for education and Google classroom.

All staff receive high quality CPD opportunities provided whole school and within the department. We also run some fantastic trips to a range of destinations, which in the past have included Iceland, China and Sri Lanka.

Our results as a department have been excellent with last years GCSE cohort achieving 87% A*-C, 21% above the national average and with 80% of students making at least 3 levels of progress. At year 12 we achieved 81% A-C and at year 13 it was 91% A*-C with 63% of students achieving A*-B.
