GCSE, A-Level & Level 2 coursework was on display around the D&T rooms to showcase the outstanding work done by the students. The evening saw certificates for achievement and effort handed out as well as displays of fashion from the textiles pupils. The event was the brainchild of Deputy Head Girl, Jess Burckhardt who organised the evening as she wanted to celebrate the amazing work done by all the D&T students. The exhibition received only positive feedback from everyone who attended with one parent saying “It is fantastic to see the diversity of the D & T subjects. I particularly liked the Textiles fashion show”.
The Year 13 A-Level Product Design class have spent this year designing and manufacturing lighting solutions for a local company, Cube Lighting, who specialise in high-end bespoke lighting solutions. Simon Rozenberg from Cube Lighting came into school for the final presentation of pupil projects and was highly complimentary regarding the designs and products submitted by Tring School students. In recognition of their exemplary work, Sean Milligan and Toby Andrews, who both received certificates at the D&T Exhibition event, were also presented with an additional gift of a designer lamp from Mr Rozenburg.
